Slag glass lamps WITH bases for sale
.Below are just a few of my antique slag glass lamps that are in stock and for sale. Over the past 45 years I have often been asked to re purpose a slag glass lamp that has served a family for many years. There is no one reason or a simple reason why these antique lamps have been left in my care. Other than to say they are donated with heavy hearts and memories. This collection of slag glass lamps reflects an understanding with the original owners. That I find a new family that is willing to cherish their 100+ year old slag glass lamps. Some of the lamps in my collection have been completely restored and some left as I received them. Many of the slag glass lamps for sale were made by Bradley and Hubbard, E Miller, Salem Brothers, Chicago Mosaic, Rainaud or Moe Bridges. These are just some of the popular period manufacturers between 1900-1945. Many are unmarked but all are genuine original 1900-1945 period unless noted. All antique slag glass lamps for sale are available if posted. If your serious about a lamp I can best help you if you call me. Emails can be confusing and provoke even more questions and work. I would love to help you so please call me Len at 401-314-6005 (12-6ESTime).

Slag glass BASES for sale
It took about 30 years for small cities, towns and neighborhoods to become “electrified”. A long slow period which made owning a portable lamp very desirable. A piece of furniture that not all homes had and most people desired. Often given as a wedding gift and cared for with a lot of respect because of the cost. Having portable lamps in your home was a cool thing to have. It seems like every decade a new product moves in like the (refrigerator, sewing machine, washing machine, automobile, TV, computer, cell phone etc.). And while some of these products become discontinued and disposable. The portable lamp “light bulb and switch” are still valued with respect. The bases below are original genuine antique lamp bases. Over the past 120 years they have all been modified with new light bulbs, cords, sockets, top adapter and possibly repainted several times by the original owners. Yes they are used, worn and aged. They have survived. If you have a shade and considering using one of the bases below. First visualize it on the base given the sizes of both. Consider the type of shade top you have and how it will or will not attach to the base top. Maybe what you will need to do for this marriage to happen. If you have any doubt please email Len.Daley@yahoo.com pictures of your shade and the base your interested in. I maybe able to help. Water Lily & Lighted Base” Circa 1920’s

# 14 Gas table lamp $1,900 Opportunity to own a genuine gas slag glass table lamp. Many slag glass table lamps sold in the late 1890’s were only gas. As electricity became popular gas lamps were converted over to electric before being discontinued. This table lamp shows some paint chipping which adds to the historical antique look which people love. I would suggest top coating or sealing the original paint. A real nice display or you could convert it to electric and make it functional again.
